These emails can come in a variety of forms that includes:
- Asking you to click on a link that may take you to a false Optuszoo website, prompting you to login.
- Asking you to reply to an email that does not reply to an @optusnet.com.au email address
- Asking you to provide personal information such as: full name, date of birth, password
A lot of times these hoax emails will say that if you do not follow the instructions, your internet account will be closed.
Optus will NEVER ask customers for a password via email.

You should then delete them, without replying to the email. This just verifies your email address as an active target and may lead to you being featured on spammers lists.
If you have replied or given out your password, you should change your password immediately, via Members Services, or contact support on 133 937 |
